Updates
We want you to understand that it's very hard to make an app with complex UI and tons of features like Sizzy and satisfy everyone's needs. However, we're trying really hard to make everything optional and customizable, so you can make it yours.
Tips on making Sizzy yours:
-
Make sure to explore the Settings and see all the options
-
Customize the Device Theme and make the devices more minimalistic by disabling device header, etc.
-
Disable any Plugins that you might not need, and drag and drop to reorder the plugins that you need
-
Customize the Toolbar, and disable some Toolbar icons you don't need (Settings -> General -> Toolbar)
-
Change the look of the Workspace Tabs (Settings -> General -> Workspace Tabs)
You can easily disable everything, like this:
And if all of this is still not minimalistic enough for you, you can press Z and enjoy Zen Mode 😄️
We'd love to hear your feedback, so please tell us what you think below 👇
Some of the following icons didn't belong in the Workspace Tabs:
- Align View
- Full/Resizable/Responsive Mode
- Photo Mode
- Filters
- Presets
So we decided to move them to the Toolbar, to the left of the URL bar.
OMFGZOMG too many icons, I don't need all of them!
Yes, we hear you. You might want to remove some of the icons and use keyboard shortcuts or Butler instead. That's why we added tons of customization options.
- You can right-click to disable any icon in the toolbar
-
You can right-click the toolbar and click "Customize Toolbar" or you can go to Settings -> General -> Toolbar to find all the customization options.
-
You can also disable Align Modes that you don't need, and you can decide how you want to display them:
So if you want, your toolbar can look super clean, like this:
It's your choice 😎️
-
The Workspace Tabs will only appear if you pin devices and presets as tabs.
-
Previously, the tabs changed as your list of visible devices changes, but now your pinned tabs are not going to change, ever
-
The "tabs" for switching modes, filters, and presets moved to the Toolbar
What should you do? 🤔
- If you want to use Sizzy without any tabs, that's fine!
- If you want to pin only a few devices as tabs, that's fine!
- If you want to pin a bunch of presets and devices as tabs, that's also fine!
Do whatever you want! 😅
Note: you can still toggle the Tab Bar with Cmd + Shift + B or Ctrl + Shift + B.
How to pin a device as a tab?
You can easily pin a device as a tab in two different ways:
- Option 1: Right-click on a device, or press the "..." menu and press "Pin as a tab"
- Option 2: Click on the "Pin as a tab" icon that appears in the list of Visible Devices
You can easily unpin any tab by clicking the "x" icon next to the title.
Quickly focus on any device
Even if a device is not visible in the workspace, you can still quickly navigate and focus on it with (Ctrl + Shift + P or Cmd + Shift + P) and typing the name of the device.
This was previously limited to visible devices, but now you can focus on any device.
Pinning presets as tabs
Presets are a super useful way of storing a configuration of devices so you can easily navigate to it later. You can pin your favorite presets as tabs by clicking on the pin icon to the left of the name:
Customizing the Workspace Tabs
You can go to Settings -> Workspace Tabs and customize the look of the tabs. We'll add more options soon!
Device Drawer
When you click on the "Device Drawer" button in the Toolbar, your workspace will zoom out, so you can have a clearer preview, and a new drawer with devices will appear on the left side.
You can easily drag any device into the workspace to the right.
Reorder Devices
You can easily reorder devices in the list view next to the drawer, and you'll immediately see your changes to the right.
Disabling devices completely
We have too many default devices. We're planning to add even more devices. However, you might not like to see some of them, for some reason, ever.
You can easily disable the devices that you don't want to see by unchecking them in Settings -> Manage Devices.
Disabled devices won't appear in the device drawer, and they won't appear when searching in the Butler.
Custom Devices
You can find your custom devices in the device drawer, and in a neatly ordered list in Settings -> Manage Devices -> Custom Devices .
If you're not happy with our default devices (for some reason), you can create new devices by clicking on "Create Device":
You can also create new devices by clicking on the "+" button in the device drawer.
