Sotto 1.4.18 alpha 1: more reliable recording and upgrades
This alpha improves reliability when recording, importing audio, and upgrading Sotto.
Cancelling or starting a new recording now keeps older work from replacing your latest result or copying stale text.
Imported recordings can be processed with AI after transcription finishes.
Recording requests from the API keep their own settings and cancel more predictably.
Startup handles interrupted data migrations more carefully, retaining recoverable copies and retrying unfinished work.
New recordings use more reliable filenames across language and region settings.
This is a preview release. Some existing installations may show a macOS Keychain permission prompt during the upgrade; startup waits for that permission before loading your data. Microphone, Bluetooth, and existing-profile upgrades still need broader real-world validation.
